WHAT IS NEUROMETAPHYSICS ?

The Neurometaphysics is a metaphysical approach derived from the description of empirical reality ; relevant to the Philosophy of Mind, featuring neuroscience topics. The working method used in this thesis is , in simple terms , to bring to its logical conclusions offered this scientific discipline.Using this method , we arrive at an extraordinary paradox: if it is true that consciousness occurs within the brain, and that this phenomenon comprises all the perceptions of an individual, means comprising the whole universe can attest that this individual : his heart , his body immediate surroundings , streets, buildings , trees, mountains , animals, people , birds, insects , planets , stars, and even the most distant galaxies captured by a modern telescope. It also includes your thoughts , emotions, memories and imaginings . And further comprises his own body and brain, as they are also perceptions. So my brain is another perception : Where lies the ability to integrate information that supposedly we attribute to the human mind? Where memories are stored ? What are dreams? How do you generate ideas or imagery ? What is the efficient cause of the will, if the acting body and mind are mere perceptions decides ?Even so interesting is these paradoxes that if we really accept that the universe - the reality of every day, each human beings experience , is a phenomenon that occurs in the brain, meaning that the skull would be a metaphysical concept because it would not prove how their existence.Indeed , the efforts made to do, but take even thousands of times higher than the speed of light fastest spacecraft ( if such a thing were possible ) and came to the edge of the universe , would not move an inch towards his skull, and that all that space travel would remain an intracerebral phenomenon and nothing to do or think cloistered in that inner virtual world would allow to prove the existence of his skull. This thesis addresses these paradoxes and proposes how to resolve them , but to do so , it must necessarily make a Copernican turn to the vast majority of working paradigms Science and much of philosophy. The Neurometaphysics involves seeing the world and the human being from a radically new perspective sometimes can be depressing , surprising or frightening , as I have indicated high level reflective people with whom I exchanged ideas about it, but I believe that is the price we must pay if we try to understand the phenomenon of consciousness

WINDOW EFFECT

( A first approximation wrong , but necessary ) .

The first thing to understand is something curious . We do not see our way out and tend to believe. Visual images are produced in the brain , not outside of the eyes. Eyes only capture light signals that the rods and cones ( eye cells ) transformed into electrical impulses that travel to the brain to construct this image .We think that what we see outside the incredible coordination that we acquire as we grow , including our sense of sight and touch. When we are babies we do not coordinate well with what our brain registers as reality and our hands . As this coordination will refine and our body starts moving around , we acquire , increasingly, a strong link between what visually checked and somatic effect produced .Consequently , we suffer a "window effect " . We believe that our eyes are windows to the outside and when closed , is equivalent to close the window. On the contrary , and I must stress this : we see inward, as if we had a mental screen inside the head. Otherwise, there would be no vivid dreams. In a vivid dream the brain uses its sensory memories tables and recreates an inner reality without need for organ recipients will provide information . [1 ]I allowed this personal appointment, and makes it clear that what is called window effect. I have exemplified the view, as it is our most developed sense and , therefore , the largest maker of illusion that makes us believe that what the observer sees this outside. The great Spanish neuroscientist Francisco Mora explained as follows :

" ... Neurons in the retina do not copy anything from the outside world , but that detect things that are then sent to the brain for further processing . As Blackmore (1976 ) states: The brain neurons present arguments based on the specific features that detect ( in the outside world ) , these arguments with the brain builds its perception hypothesis " [2 ] .This is an idea on which we must insist : if the observer looks up from this text and walking around the room, can not avoid the conviction that you are sitting at an angle of the room and, as move your head , what you see are the elements of the reality around him.The observer must make an effort to understand what really happens : everything testifies to his vision is occurring inside your brain . If he raises his hands and see, that is also happening inside his brain. If you close your eyes and imagine the scene recalls or just contemplate, have a more accessible meaning that reality is occurring inside and not outside image .

THE HARD PROBLEM OF CONSCIOUSNESS

WHY NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THE CONSCIOUSNESS ?

If we review the literature on Philosophy of Mind , often have titles that give us hope that its contents to resolve the problem of consciousness, such as " Consciousness Explained ", " A History of the Mind ", " The Brain conscious "or " The conscious Mind " .Yet we see that this is , as they say in merchandising - of " misleading " because the authors always warn or conclude that no one knows yet what the ultimate nature of consciousness, or as Chalmers says we run headlong with the difficult problem :

"The hardest part of the mind-body problem is the question : how could a physical system cause conscious experience ? Psychological ... the mind-body problem has dissolved. What remains is the question of why and how these psychological properties are accompanied by phenomenal properties."

In my view , the problem of consciousness has been impossible to solve, because it has been faced from wrong paradigms. The paradigm that I propose , however , requires a caveat: these conceptions remove two powerful foundations of common sense, even , dare I also noted that an important part of common sense, widely accepted in the philosophical field .The first of these foundations to shake , is the objectivity of the world , and the second , the human will.Pretender to challenge such a foundation is not in any case, the original attempt at philosophy , but the element that gives the initiative a degree of novelty is that the proposed approaches debunkers emanate not only reflections or argumentative treatises , but resorts to the empirical evidence that delivers cutting-edge science of our time to establish such refutations .The requirement to build a solid explanation of consciousness, an explanation that actually realize the hard problem involves a thorough review of our concept of reality in the light of current scientific evidence , to join the empiricism of our time recreates and expands that reality.Disciplines that provide such evidence must emphasize , especially to Neuroscience , as are the principles of this novel scientific discipline that has allowed the development of this thesis , and for that reason I have called this new vision NEUROMETAPHYSICS as which , as explained below, is a metaphysical explanation, but from the conceptual framework and empirical evidence offered by neuroscience.
